How ZOXOPAN-DP TAB works

Diclofenac, a key component of Zoxopan-DP Tab, works by inhibiting the activity of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, specifically COX-1 and COX-2. These enzymes are responsible for the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are mediators of pain, inflammation, and fever. By reducing prostaglandin production, Diclofenac effectively diminishes pain and inflammation at the site of injury or discomfort. Paracetamol (PCM), also known as Acetaminophen, primarily acts on the central nervous system to produce its analgesic and antipyretic effects. While its exact mechanism is not fully understood, it is believed to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis in the brain, thereby elevating the pain threshold and reducing fever. Unlike NSAIDs, Paracetamol has minimal anti-inflammatory effects in the periphery.
